Eem Triplin is a pretty unique hip-hop artist for his age. In an era when rap artists promote all kinds of stimulants, Eem openly says that he does not smoke or take any drugs, and in his music he combines soulful melodies with strong, modern drums. Born in 2001 in Pennsylvania, Eem started making noise a few years ago with a series of daily beats uploaded to YouTube. Then he took up rap and within a few years he received accolades from such greats as Tyler, The Creator and PnB Rock.

We talked to the talented, charismatic rapper and producer with a great sense of humor after his concert at this year's CLOUT Festival. Eem told us, among other things: what he took from Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky; revealed what he would say to his idol Tyler, The Creator; recalled humble beginnings and making beats when he was too broke to celebrate Christmas; described his bond with $NOT and explained the idea behind the covers of the new EP "Still Pretty" - and more!
