Recently we had a chance to catch up with UK soul pioneer and legend Omar Lye-Fook after his sold-out show with Courtney Pine. We sat down with the soul singer to talk about his extensive catalog, working with Common on "Electric Circus", meeting J Dilla, releasing two versions of "Be Thankful" with Erykah Badu and Angie Stone, hanging out with Stevie Wonder and being friends with Motown legend Leon Ware. 

Omar also told a crazy story of his 1997 collab with Ol' Dirty Bastard for the song "Say Nothin'", remembered the UK rapper Ty, shared the back story of his biggest hit "There's Nothing Like This" as well as "Outside", recorded with Lamont Dozier, and revealed his ambitious future plans regarding music and acting.
