Last month theMIND released his long awaited second solo album "Don't Let It Go To Your Head" produced by Da-P of Soulection and earlier, before the pandemic hit, we had a chance to catch up with the Philadelphia/Chicago artist after his show with rapper Noname in Warsaw, Poland. We spoke about theMIND's beginnings after moving to Chicago, building connects on the local scene via work with THEMpeople, as well as his subsequent epic collabs with: Mick Jenkins on classic "The Water[s]" mixtape ("Dehydration", "Shipwrecked"), Saba on "CARE FOR ME" ("BUSY / SIRENS"), and the moving tribute to Capital STEEZ recorded with Nyck Caution ("Out of Touch"). 

thMIND also spoke about his debut solo album "Summer Camp" from 2016 and its two different covers; his aim to bridge the worlds of R&B and rap; the message behind his music, including the importance of self-love; as well as the term that he came up with to describe his art - "rabbit hole music".
